The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced that it has exceeded the mid-year revenue target set for the 2024 fiscal year.
This achievement has been described as a “historic performance” by Joe Ghartey, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
In a statement, Ghartey congratulated the Commissioner-General, top management, and staff for their outstanding performance. He highlighted that this success was achieved despite significant challenges, including the seasonal difficulties typically faced during election years.
“The Board strongly believes in the ability and determination of the management and staff of GRA to work against all these odds and will continue to support them to achieve their targets,” the statement added.
The Board emphasized its confidence in the GRA’s team and pledged ongoing support to help them continue their success.
The statement also mentioned that the Commissioner-General will provide more details on these achievements at an upcoming media briefing next week.
The GRA has called on all valued stakeholders, including taxpayers and the business community, to continue supporting the authority in its efforts to improve revenue mobilization.
