Ghana Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak have sacked coach Samuel Boadu after a winless start to the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
Coach Boadu and his entire backroom staff have been asked to stay away from the team’s training grounds immediately.
In the interim, the coach of the Hearts Under 20 team, Samuel Nii Noi assisted by Benjamin Mensah, to take charge of the team until a substantive head coach is appointed.
The club has stated that there was a need for a new direction and energy to ensure that the club’s broader objectives achievement.
The club felt the time for that new direction is now.
The Board and Management thanked Samuel Boadu and his assistants for their contributions to the club’s history and memories.
The club wished Coach Boadu and his team good luck in their future endeavours.
The coach of the U20s, Samuel Nii Noi, would be assisted by Benjamin Mensah to take charge of the team until a substantive head coach is appointed.
Hearts Of Oak assured all fans that the club was taking all the necessary steps, for instance, assistance from the CVCA partners in restructuring the technical team.
