Afrobeats singer Joeboy has opened up about his deal breakers in a relationship.
In a recent interview with Zikoko, he revealed that he’s not a fan of women who talk excessively or seek validation on social media.
For him, being expressive is different from talking too much, and he values a partner who knows the difference.
Joeboy also shared his red flags, saying that if a woman is always posting for validation or comparing her relationship to others, that’s a major turn-off.
The interviewer asked: “What are your deal breakers in a relationship?”
Joeboy replied: “I don’t like girls that talk too much… I don’t mean expressive girls. Being expressive is different from talking too much. Some people just talk too much and I don’t like that.”
On his red flags, he said: “If she is always posting for validation or saying, ‘Oh, this person is doing this in their relationship, why don’t we do this?’”
On a more positive note, he mentioned that he’s currently in a relationship and loves that his partner has a great sense of humour.
Interestingly, Joeboy has also spoken about what he looks for in a partner in the past.
In another interview, he mentioned that a woman’s willingness to spend on him is a sign of her genuine affection.
He emphasised that it’s the thought that counts, not the price tag.
