The Ashanti Region, a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is gearing up for the official unveiling of Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as NAPO as the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
This significant announcement was made by Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the NPP, in a recent Facebook post.
The New Patriotic Party is expected to provide details soon about the event where Dr. Opoku Prempeh will be formally introduced as Dr. Bawumia’s running mate.
The public is eagerly awaiting the announcement of the date, time, venue, and other relevant information regarding the unveiling ceremony.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Masawudu Osman, the Third Vice Chairman of the NPP, mentioned that the National Executive Council (NEC) will convene tomorrow to deliberate on Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s selection as running mate. He emphasized that the NEC has the final authority to approve or reject Dr. Bawumia’s choice for running mate.
Speaking on the Hot Morning Drive with Agya Wusu Ansah, Alhaji Osman highlighted the importance of the NEC’s decision in confirming the party’s leadership team for the upcoming elections.
The meeting will play a crucial role in shaping the NPP’s strategy and leadership structure as they prepare for the general elections.
