Majority of the people at Offinso in the Ashanti region have extended their gratitude to the CEO of GNPC and Chancellor of UPSA, Dr.KK Sarpong for his immense support all these years .
As a good citizen of Offinso, he has really paid his dues for the development of the area as many acknowledged. Apart from supporting individuals in terms of schooling and seeking jobs for others, he has supported the Offinso Physically Challenged Centre for nearly two decades.
This is the type of leader we need to help accelerate development in our area.We as citizens believe our dear traditional town is far behind in terms of development. We need someone who has domestic and international links to take us to another level.
We wish Dr Sarpong becomes the next king of our great traditional area to foster unity and development as they stressed. These views were made in an interview with some citizens in the area after the burial funeral rites of the late Nana Wiafe Akenten llI.
The citizens finally appealed to the Offinso king makers to get them a chief in no time in order to avoid leadership vacuum and ensure peace in the area.
Dr. Kofi Koduah Sarpong better known as Dr. K.K Sarpong is a Ghanaian business executive and consultant. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party of Ghana. He served as Executive Chairman of Ghanaian football club, Kumasi Asante Kotoko from 2010 to 2013.
He has worked for the International Cocoa Organization in London and Ghana Cocoa Board and currently the CEO the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and Chancellor of UPSA.
