Popular artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has provided updates on his defamation suit against dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM on 19 February 2025, Bullgod revealed that after initiating legal proceedings against Shatta Wale for defamation, the musician approached a few high-profile celebrities to apologise on his behalf and settle the matter out of court.
According to Bullgod, it was agreed that Shatta Wale pay legal fees and publicly apologise for the murder allegations made against him.
He stressed that despite a private apology from Shatta Wale, he has yet to issue a public apology and settle his legal fees as part of the settlement.
“I sued him for GH¢1 million for defamation of character. For me, it wasn’t even about the money; it was about setting things right. So, we reached a consent judgment where he was supposed to cover my legal fees and issue a public apology, but he hasn’t done that,” he stated.
