Residents of Gomoa Mamfam, a suburb of Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, have been left in shock following the discovery of a decomposing body believed to be that of a man in his early 30s.
The lifeless body was found hidden under dried grass near an uncompleted building in the area.
According to locals, the discovery was made after a foul stench lingered in the community for several days. Concerned residents, unable to ignore the smell, decided to investigate its source. Their search led them to a disturbing scene—what appeared to be a body buried under dried green grass.
Eyewitnesses who spoke to our reporter, BKB, recounted the moment of the discovery. One resident said the stench had become unbearable, prompting them to trace it. “That’s when we found the body covered with dry grass right in front of an uncompleted house,” the eyewitness explained.
The body was in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting it had been there for several days. The Awutu Bereku District Police Command was quickly called to the scene and has since conveyed the body for burial due to its deteriorating condition.
