In a heart-wrenching incident, 26-year-old Abigail Nana Amma Fosua was discovered dead by hanging in her room on Gentlemen Road, Samreboi, in the Amenfi West District of the Western Region.
The promising young woman tragically ended her life following a crushing breakup with her boyfriend.
The distressing sequence of events began when Abigail’s boyfriend arrived at her residence, suspecting that she might have harmed herself after their recent conversations.
Alarmed, he alerted the landlord, and together they entered her room, only to be confronted by the devastating sight of Abigail’s lifeless body.
Speaking on Hot 93.9 FM’s Aye Hu show, reporter Osofoba recounted the painful details. Abigail, who was reportedly a few months pregnant, had caught her boyfriend in bed with his ex-girlfriend. The betrayal was too much for her to bear, leading her to make the tragic decision to end her life.
The authorities were promptly notified, and Abigail’s body was transported to the Samartex Hospital mortuary for further investigation.
Reports further indicate that this was not Abigail’s first encounter with suicidal thoughts, adding an even deeper layer of sorrow to the tragedy.
The police have invited the boyfriend for questioning and instructed him not to discuss the case with anyone.
In a further twist of fate, Abigail’s brother, who resides abroad, had recently secured travel documents for her, intending to bring her overseas for a better future.
This dream was cruelly cut short by her untimely death, leaving behind a son who now faces a future without his mother.
