Disaster struck on the Volta Lake on Tuesday when a boat transporting pupils from Atikagome to Wayokope in the Sene East District in the Bono East Region capsised and killed them.
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) officials have confirmed the incident.
Hotfmghana understands that eight people have been confirmed dead.
