The Suame Constituency Youth Organiser of the NDC, Razak Koampa Avoliya, is scheduled to make an appearance in Court this morning.
The Constituency Youth Organiser is alleged to have made some public comments considered to be inciting violence during a recent meeting with members of his party at Suame in
newly created Suame Municipality of the Ashanti region.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, he is seen granting a media interview, the Youth Organiser is said to have repeated the alleged ‘inciteful’ comments which have since drawn public reactions condemning him.
He presented himself to the Sofoline District Police in the company of his Counsel, national, regional and constituency faithful of the NDC where the Police took his Caution Statement after which he was detained in Cells and formally charged with ‘Offensive Conduct’.
He is to be arraigned before an Asokwa District Court in the Asokwa Municipality any moment from now.
According to our Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Nicholas Osei-Wusu, Party leaders, members and sympathisers started gathering at the premises of the Asokwa Courts Complex at about 8 am; 2hours ahead of his arrival for the arraignment.
Similarly, teams of police personnel, some armed, have also advanced to the court premises in batches and taken strategic positions
