Chairman Nana Kwame Dankwah (NKD) has correspondingly debunked media reports about starting official duties as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nkawkaw-based football club, Okwawu United, come Monday.
Prematurely, major sports outlets including Ghana Soccernet and Football Ghana, reported that the head of sports for F.P Communications (Hot 93.9) FM has been appointed CEO of Okwawu United.
Backing claims, the division One side’s reported Operations Manager, Emmanuel Osei Asomani, confirmed NKD’s appointment in an interview with Rainbow Radio.
In response, the club took to one of its Meta platforms, Facebook, describing the news as fake and ought to be authenticated by Management.
However, according to Hotfmghana’s sources, NKD also the First Vice Chairman of Asante Kotoko National Circles Council, is not officially starting office on Monday, 16th October, 2023 in said publications.
With a lot of rich experience in football administration under his belt, NKD is one of six hopefuls vying for the position. He graduated from Central University with a BSc in Business Management.
While contact by the Club for the communication team member of Asante Kotoko to be appointed CEO is reputable, no agreement has been made to start office on Monday.
The former Ghana Premier League giants are set to name a new CEO in the coming days as they aim for a return to the top flight after close to a two-decade absence.
Meanwhile, Okwawu United faces Hohoe United on Sunday, October 15, 2023, in Access Bank Division One Zone Three.
