The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced an urgent maintenance operation on the Nuri Kamstrup Prepayment Server, set to take place this weekend.
The maintenance will commence on Friday, July 12, at 11:00 pm and is expected to be completed by Sunday, July 14, at 11:00 pm.
In a statement, ECG advised all customers using the Nuri Kamstrup prepayment system to ensure they have enough credit to last throughout the maintenance period to avoid any inconvenience.
“Customers utilizing the Nuri Kamstrup prepayment system are advised to purchase sufficient credit to last throughout the maintenance period,” the statement read.
The company apologized for any disruptions this essential maintenance might cause.
“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise as a result of this exercise,” the company stated.
This emergency maintenance is part of ECG’s ongoing efforts to improve service reliability and follows recent initiatives to recover GH¢11.44 million from defaulting customers and warnings about mobile money fraudsters.
The company stressed the necessity of this maintenance to ensure uninterrupted service in the future.
