The war leader and custodian of Prampram [Gbugbla]’s defence and well-being, Asafoatse Lartey Bantama IV, has said that he will not comply with the summons of the Prampram Traditional Council.
On Friday, May 2, 2025, the Traditional Council of Prampram summoned Asafoatse Lartey Bantama IV for alleging that the Paramount Chief of the area, Nene Tetteh Wakah III, had embezzled GHc800,000.00, which he received with other chiefs for land acquisition from some foreign nationals.
The summons also cited alleged misconduct and threats. Speaking to the press, Asafoatse Lartey Bantama IV, who is supposed to appear before the Traditional Council on Sunday, May 4, stated categorically that he would not comply with the summons.
According to the outspoken war leader, “I will not comply with the summons. The Prampram Traditional Council can’t summon me. Nene Tetteh Wakah III is not the rightful chief. He can’t summon me to the Traditional Council. I have receipts for the GHc800,000.00, which was paid to him.”
Asafoatse Lartey Bantama IV stressed, “Only the police, the President, or a court can summon me. I have evidence. He can go to court. I am ready to meet him there.”
