The Member of Parliament for Pru East, Emmanuel Kwaku Boam, has facilitated over 20 scholarships for brilliant but financially challenged tertiary students in his constituency.
The initiative aims to support young people in accessing higher education and easing the financial burden on their families.
The scholarship package, secured through collaboration with various partners, covers students enrolled in different public universities across the country. It forms part of the MP’s broader efforts to improve access to education in Pru East.
According to his office, the beneficiaries were selected based on academic performance and financial need, with priority given to students who have demonstrated strong potential but face economic hardship.
Hon. Boam says education remains a critical tool for development and has pledged to continue lobbying for more support for young people in the area. He believes that investing in human capital is key to transforming the socio-economic future of the constituency.
This marks another intervention under the MP’s youth development agenda, which includes skills training, mentorship, and job placement initiatives across Pru East.
