According to him, the internal elections will be conducted using a bottom-to-top approach, beginning at the branch level before progressing through constituency and regional structures, and finally culminating at the national level.
Mr Kwetey said the filing of nominations will take place from Saturday, November 7, to Monday, November 9, 2026.
He added that the vetting of aspirants is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, and Friday, November 13, 2026, while appeals will be heard on Sunday, November 15, and Monday, November 16, 2026.
The NDC General Secretary further disclosed that the Youth and Women’s Conference is expected to be held on Saturday, December 12, 2026.
“That congress will happen on Saturday, the 19th December, 2026,” he stated.
Mr Kwetey explained that the exercise forms part of the party’s broader efforts to reorganise and strengthen its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the process is aimed at preparing the party for the next electoral contest while ensuring continuity in its governance agenda.
