The National Theatre came alive on Sunday, May 17, 2026, as it hosted the highly anticipated debut edition of this year’s flagship family edutainment programme, FUNWORLD.
Over the years, FUNWORLD has established itself as one of the National Theatre’s most beloved family-oriented events.

The platform provides children and young people with a unique space to build self-confidence, teamwork, discipline, and artistic excellence, all within a vibrant and educational setting.
It also offers schools a premier opportunity to expose students to the performing arts, encouraging healthy competition and talent development.

This year’s opening event featured an impressive lineup of participating schools, including:
Lemen School Complex, Westridge International School, Bethbara Academy, Brilliant Child International School, Brighter Harmony School
Students enchanted the audience with their immense creativity through a diverse range of activities, including traditional cultural displays, musical performances, poetry recitals, fashion shows, drama, rap battles, and choreography.

The absolute climax of the afternoon was the exhilarating dance competition. In a fierce matchup against three other talented contestants, Ariana Christiana Anang Fio of Heemmas School stole the spotlight.
Her exceptional skill, rhythm, and stage presence transfixed both the judges and the crowd, ultimately earning her the coveted first-place spot.
For her stellar performance, Ariana was awarded a special prize package from Indomie, presented to her live on stage by a company representative.
Following this spectacular launch, organisers have announced that the next edition of FUNWORLD will take place in June 2026, promising even more entertainment and youthful talent.
