Member of Parliament for Kumawu constituency in the Ashanti Region, Ernest Yaw Anim, has donated GH¢50,000 towards the construction of a new washroom facility for Abotanso School as part of efforts to improve sanitation and create a better learning environment for pupils.
Announcing the donation during a visit to the community, the Ghanaian lawmaker said the project forms part of his commitment to expanding educational infrastructure and ensuring that schools within the constituency have access to essential facilities.
Beyond the donation, Anim toured several ongoing development projects across the constituency, including the Bodomase D/A School washroom project and the Bodomase Nurses’ Quarters, to assess the progress of work.
He expressed satisfaction with the pace of construction, indicating that funding had already been secured to ensure both projects are completed before the end of the month.
“Funds have been allocated, and both projects are set for completion by the end of this month,” the MP stated.
On healthcare infrastructure, Anim also inspected construction works on the Bodwease Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound, describing the project as another key intervention aimed at improving access to quality healthcare in the constituency.
“With respect to the Bodwease CHPS Compound, funds have been allocated, and the project is on course for completion and commissioning next month,” he said.
The Kumawu MP reaffirmed his commitment to delivering critical education and healthcare infrastructure across the constituency, stressing that investments in schools and health facilities remain central to his development agenda.
