Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, has formally introduced the newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executives to the Kumawumanhene, Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, during the fifth Akwasidae celebration of 2026.
The introduction took place at the Kumawu Palace on Sunday and formed part of activities marking the traditional festival, which brought together chiefs, elders, party executives and residents.
According to the Kumawu MP, the visit also provided an opportunity to brief the paramount chief on the successful conduct of the NPP’s internal elections in the constituency this year.
He said the party’s polling station and electoral area elections were held peacefully across the constituency, describing the process as a significant step in strengthening the party’s grassroots structures.
Ernest Yaw Anim noted that engaging the Kumawumanhene and the traditional council reflected the party’s commitment to fostering unity and maintaining strong ties with traditional authorities.
“This moment with Nananom reaffirms our commitment to unity, respect for our traditions and rich culture, and our party’s continued partnership with traditional leadership in advancing the development and progress of Kumawuman,” he stated.
The Akwasidae celebration served as a platform for the MP to officially introduce the new executives while reaffirming collaboration between the constituency’s political leadership and traditional authorities in promoting development.
