Co-Founder of Entertainment Week Ghana, Degraft Oppong, has said that the ‘Red Means Stop’ drug abuse initiative will also focus on rehabilitation efforts for affected youth,
Degraft Oppong stated that this would ensure the affected individuals receive the necessary support to recover and reintegrate into society.
He made these revelations at the press launch of the ‘Red Means Stop’ campaign against illegal hard drugs on Wednesday, March 26, 2026, at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.
The Red Means Stop campaign, launched in collaboration with Entertainment Week Ghana, seeks to combat opioid drug abuse through education, empowerment and engagement.
The campaign will engage communities and entertainment stakeholders in raising awareness and advocating for stronger policies to curb substance abuse.
Some of the dignitaries at the launch included the Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, CEO Youth Employment Agency, Malik Basintale, CEO of the National Youth Authority, Osman Abdul Ayariga, Olivia Boateng, Head of Tobacco and Substance Abuse Department at the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA)
