A student had ordered a smartphone worth 1,356.25 Ghanaian Cedi online but found it quite difficult to arrange for the hefty sum. So, she decided to reach the district hospital to sell her blood in exchange for money.
The shocking incident was taken note of by the hospital staff after the girl demanded money in exchange for giving blood. Blood bank employees said that they got suspicious when the girl demanded money in exchange for donating blood.
The hospital staff promptly informed the childcare department, who reached the hospital. After an enquiry, they found out the actual reason.
According to a childcare member, when asked about the reason, the girl said that the phone was getting delivered soon, so she came up with the idea of selling blood to raise money.
