The Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged two referees for placing bet on betting platforms on various matches.
Referee Philip Atta Forson and Isaac Osei were found guilty by the Integrity Officer to have engaged in betting which is against the code of ethics of the profession.
A statement by the GFA said “the two referees have been charged for breaching Article 26 of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019 and Article (11)1 of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019.
The duo have been given up to 5pm on Wednesday to send their written responses to the charge sheet that has been sent to them.
“After receiving their responses, the GFA Disciplinary Committee will form a panel to adjudicate their respective cases”, the statement said.
