We Had Better Management Under Dr. KK Sarpong – GNPC Staff

The staff of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) have eulogized former GNPC boss, Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong for exhibiting magnificent managerial expertise during his time in office.

This comes after some SNR. Officers who have worked through the mill to attain higher positions are treated with gross disrespect by the current CEO Mr Opoku Anhwere Danquah who has also been accused of misappropriation of funds a few months in office.

The staff who have not seen this type of abysmal performance under GNPC before refuting claims and false publication by the current CEO  which was published on whatsupnews.com – where he accused Dr K.K Sarpong of misappropriating funds when he has allegedly squandered over $100 million.

The “Concerned Staff” of the GNPC discredits his claim, citing him for incompetence and a limited understanding of corporate governance.

According to them, during the same onboarding week, the financial accounts he presented to staff all allegedly turned out to be false.

For instance, while he falsely accused his predecessor to have misappropriated the Corporation’s Fund, he is alleged to have smartly concealed the 100 million USD funds the Corporation had received from Jubilee in GNPC.

“These aides now attend ExCom meetings and Entity Tender Committee meetings, which are quite unfortunate.

The aides have also been empowered to micro-manage some departments. This is not surprising because he is usually heard saying that he does not believe and will not adhere to the structure and policies of the Corporation approved by the Board,” the Concerned workers told Hotfmghana.

In the three months that he has been acting as the CEO, Opoku Ahweneeh is said to have transferred 27 staff already, placing many square pegs in round holes.
