Gospel powerhouse Piesie Esther has officially ended Afro-gospel sensation Joseph Matthew’s impressive run at the number one spot on the Hot Top 10 Music Chart.
The Hot Top 10 Music Chart on Hot 93.9FM features the biggest hits under review, ranking songs that are dominating the airwaves with heavy radio rotation.
Joseph Matthew, known for his unique blend of urban contemporary sounds and heartwarming messages, had turned the Hot Top 10 Music Chart into his personal fortress.
Since July of this year, the celebrated UK-based Afro-fusion artiste held a firm grip on the top position, driven by massive radio play for his hit song “Walk,” which has now slipped to number three.
However, Piesie Esther has claimed the coveted number one spot on the chart in the third week of October with her relentless hit single, “Great Change.”
A surge in airplay over the past seven days provided the necessary momentum for the award-winning gospel songstress to leapfrog into the top rank.

Building on the momentum of her award-winning discography—including celebrated tracks like “W’aye Me Yie” and “Nyame Ye”—Piesie Esther’s latest release, “Great Change,” has struck a puissant chord with listeners, reiterating her echelon as a foremost force in Ghanaian gospel music.
The “Great Change” hitmaker’s takeover is attributed to a coordinated promotional push and growing viral traction.
Meanwhile, popular Afrobeats star Mr. Drew occupies the second position with his hit single “Steeze,” featuring Medikal.
