Hearts Of Oak’s 2001 signee, Laryea Kingston is reported to become head coach of the Accra-based football club after the dismissal of Serbian Coach, Slavoc Matic according to a report on Ghanaweb sighted by Hotfmghana.
The Phobians are without a substantive coach after a dispute with the new tactician from Serbia who was gradually emerging supporters’ patience after a long streak of fewer wins.
David Ocloo, the assistant manager is now the interim coach following the foreign coach’s departure. He has led the team in 6 fixtures, in which he won 3, drew 2 and lost one.
Laryea Kingston joined the Phobians in 2001 after he left Al-Ittihad Tripoli where he signed in 2000 due to his unhappiness at the Libyan side.
The former Hearts of Oak player is the younger brother of Richard Kingston who currently serves as a goalkeeper coach for the Ghana senior national football team.
