The head coach of the Ghana senior national team, Christopher William Gerard Hughton, has not suffered any defeat in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with the Black Stars team since his appointment.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced the appointment of Chris Hughton as the new head coach of the Black Stars in February 2023 after former Coach Otto Addo stood down following the 2022 World Cup group stage elimination.
Chris Hughton led the Black Stars for the first time in March 2023 with a win when they faced Angola in the 2023 AFCON qualifications in Cape Coast.
Hughton, also a former technical advisor to the Black Stars during the 2022 World Cup campaign, helped Ghana to secure a qualification for the 2023 AFCON to be played in Ivory Coast next year.
The West African country gained twelve(12) points in the Group E qualifiers after six games. Ghana won and drew in 3 matches of the campaign.
Ghana, Algeria, and Senegal remain unbeaten in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
