Of the 365 days in a year, most Ghanaians acknowledge 31st December as the most suitable moment to practice sacred beliefs, ushering them to a prosperous new year.
However, fans of the Shatta Movement For Life (SM4LYF) would disregard this year’s edition of the cross overnight, hotfmghana learns.
In a series of events organized for these festivities, the founder of SM4LYF, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has slated one of his shows on the said date.
An event dubbed ‘Countdown Africa’ will witness the self-acclaimed African dancehall king performing live at the Independence Square in Accra on 31st December, this year.
Prior to preparations for end-of-year events, a fierce rival of the ‘On God’ crooner, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, announced his discretion to operate the Accra Sports Stadium for the 6th edition of BHIM concert.
While Shatta Wale fumed about the BHIM Nation boss’ venue decision after he prematurely affirmed to his fans about the same, Sammy Flex wrote an open letter to the dancehall artiste, advising him to consider canceling the renowned Freedom Wave Concert.
Meanwhile, both multi-award-winning artists anticipate filling the 30000 and 40000 seating capacity at the Accra Sports Stadium and Independence Square, respectively.
