The Paramount Chief and the people of Wechiau in the Wa West constituency of the Upper West Region, Naa Imoru Nandon Gomah II, have pledged their support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.
The chief attributed this decision to the NPP’s sustained commitment to the area’s development over the years.
Naa Imoru Nandon Gomah II highlighted Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s respectful gesture of formally announcing his presidential candidacy to the traditional leaders, describing it as evidence of Dr. Bawumia’s regard for traditional institutions.
This, he stated, would be duly rewarded by their votes.
The Paramount Chief made these remarks while welcoming Dr. Bawumia to his palace. The NPP flagbearer visited as part of his constituency-focused nationwide campaign tour, during which he engages with traditional authorities, religious and opinion leaders, the youth, and various societal groups to share his vision for Ghana’s future.
During the visit, Naa Imoru Nandon Gomah II bestowed his blessings upon Dr. Bawumia as he embarks on his quest to lead the nation.
