The Newly Constituted National Chapters Committee (NCC) of Hearts of Oak, led by Chairman Alhaji Yusif Abdulai visited the Swalabar Home on Tuesday.
It is considered the traditional and ancestral home of the club.
These visits are typically part of activities marking the club’s anniversary celebrations or other significant events, serving as a way to connect with their roots and the community where the club was founded.
The visit was also to officially unveil the new team and seek their support and blessings as they embark on their mandate.
The team was well received by the elders and assured of their commitment to ensure the progress of the club.
Speaking at the short ceremony, Alhaji Yusif mentioned the cultural importance of the visit.
“It’s always great to visit your root Hearts Of Oak Swalabar and Swalabar is the home of Hearts of Oak the Oak tree never dies. We never say die until the bones are rotten”.
The team will join the Muslim community at the Accra Central Mosque for Friday Jummah Prayers before climaxing it with a visit to Board Chairman of the club, Togbe Afede XIV.
Hearts of Oak will face arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday, October 9 in the much anticipated Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
