The Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East, Phyllis Naa Koryoo Akunor, has redeemed her image by stating that she cannot remain quiet over an inconclusive report by the security Task Force.

She said she will wait till the final investigation report is out before any further action.

She made this statement during a press briefing with the media.

The Interior Minister, on 4th November 2025, briefed the nation on the findings of the investigation into killings and violence during the 2024 general elections.

During the briefing, the Interior Minister announced that the MP for Awutu Senya East, Phyllis  Naa KORYOO Okunor, had denied any knowledge of the violence that led to her election, an incident that left one person dead.

Naa Koryoo said she will still stick to her previous discussion with the security task force.

The Awutu Senya East Legislature thanked President Mahama and the NDC fraternity for believing in her when the news broke out.
