The Diaspora African Forum (DAF),Embassy in partnership with Breast Care International (BCI), has presented a generous donation of essential medical supplies to five hospitals across the country.
The donation, sourced through global humanitarian organization Direct Relief, was facilitated by Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, CEO of Breast Care International, and formally presented on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett, Founder and Head of Mission of DAF.

Direct Relief, headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, equips healthcare professionals in over 90 countries.
This gesture follows a previous relief effort targeting facilities affected by recent Accra floods, further underscoring the organization’s commitment to supporting Ghanaian healthcare.
Addressing the press, Dr. Erieka Bennett expressed her deep appreciation for the ongoing partnership:
“They do this all over the world, and we are delighted and honored that they are doing it here again in Ghana,” Dr. Bennett stated. “Breast Care International is one of their trusted partners, so when the supplies arrived, BCI partnered with us to assist with the distribution.”
Dr. Bennett explained that the beneficiary health centers were selected based on their commitment to treating underprivileged populations.
To ensure transparency, DAF has established a rigorous tracking system.
“We will monitor these items on a monthly basis,” Dr. Bennett emphasized.

“A dedicated staff member will oversee distribution at the hospitals, taking photos and documenting receipts to ensure the supplies reach those who truly need them.”
The five recipient facilities span three regions:
Bechem Government Hospital (Ahafo Region)
Tepa Government Hospital (Ashanti Region)
Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital, Mampong (Greater Accra Region)
Britannia Medical Centre, Tema (Greater Accra Region)
Mamobi General Hospital, Accra (Greater Accra Region)
