The NPP has suggested that the opposition Party were behind the incident.

The opposition Party, NDC, has roundly denied stating that it was a sign of the ruling party’s growing loss of popularity.

Exactly what happened?

Thousands of global citizens were at the Black Star Square to witness the concert where many local and international artists performed that night.

As the host announced the president’s arrival to give his remarks, which happened to be a prepared speech that lasted over six minutes, the crowd started to boo at him.

The booing happened when he started his speech by saying: “The whole world is in Ghana today.”

The crowd started clapping loudly and chanting words: “away, away…,” the president, however, stayed the course and delivered his speech.
