The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has contributed GH¢50,000 towards the construction of the National Cathedral.

The contribution was made by the chief Imam today August 26, 2021, barely a month after the government encouraged every Ghanaian to contribute GH¢100 towards the project.

Vice President Bawumia had encouraged Christians to contribute to make the National Cathedral a reality since it is a building that will be dedicated to the glory of God.

Speaking when he joined the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Adabraka in Accra last Sunday, Bawumia tasked faith-based organizations and the church to contribute voluntarily towards the building of the National Cathedral.

“I implore you to let your voice be heard in the national discourse. The nation needs independent voices like yours. Be assured that you are on the side of God and he will keep watch over you.”

“I want to make one point before I sit down. As you all know there are efforts to build a national cathedral. It is very important that we build the cathedral, it is a voluntary exercise, anyone who wants to contribute can contribute.”

“I have contributed and I will contribute more so I encourage everybody to think about it and let us build it. It is not for anybody, it is for Ghana and for the glory of God”
