Award-winning Ghanaian music star Fancy Gadam has officially released his much-anticipated collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats icon Rudeboy, titled “I Don’t Need You,” accompanied by a visually captivating music video directed by renowned Nigerian filmmaker Adasa Cookey.

Released on July 19, 2026, the song marks another major international collaboration for Fancy Gadam, whose career has been defined by successful partnerships with top African artistes including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Patoranking, Mr Eazi, Shatta Wale and Kuami Eugene.

The latest single adds another high-profile name to his impressive catalogue while reinforcing his growing influence beyond Ghana.

Rudeboy, one half of the legendary Nigerian duo P-Square before embarking on a successful solo career, delivers his signature soulful vocals alongside Fancy Gadam’s energetic style.

Their chemistry creates a song that blends Ghanaian and Nigerian sounds into a catchy Afropop anthem that is expected to resonate with audiences across Africa and beyond.

The accompanying music video, directed by celebrated Nigerian director Adasa Cookey, showcases high production quality, cinematic visuals and stylish storytelling, giving the project an international appeal.

Cookey is widely known for directing videos for some of Africa’s biggest music stars, making his involvement another significant boost for the release.

The release has generated excitement among fans in Ghana and Nigeria, especially after weeks of anticipation on social media. Music lovers have praised the collaboration as one of Fancy Gadam’s biggest releases of the year, with many predicting it will enjoy strong streaming numbers and dominate airwaves across the continent.

For Fancy Gadam, born Mujahid Ahmed Bello, I Don’t Need You represents another milestone in a career that continues to elevate music from Northern Ghana onto the international stage.

As one of Ghana’s most celebrated Afropop artistes, the “One Don” has consistently demonstrated his ability to bridge cultures through music, and his latest collaboration with Rudeboy further cements his reputation as one of the country’s leading musical exports.
