The National Theatre of Ghana is set to host an exciting edition of FUNWORLD, the family edutainment programme dedicated to nurturing creativity, promoting cultural expression, and discovering young talents across the country.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 17th May 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Main Auditorium of the National Theatre.
This year’s edition is themed around World Creativity and Innovation Day and the International Day of Families, themes that strongly resonate with the programme’s vision of empowering children and young people through creativity, innovation, education, and family engagement.
FUNWORLD continues to create a platform where children and students can freely express their talents while encouraging family participation and social interaction through entertainment and learning.
The programme will feature exciting performances and presentations from participating schools, including Lemen School Complex, Westridge International School, Bethbara Academy, Brilliant Child International School, Brighter Harmony School, and several others.
Students will showcase their creativity and talents through dance performances, music performances, poetry recitals, fashion shows, dance choreography, rap music, drama, cultural displays, and many other entertaining activities.
One of the major highlights of the event will be the inter-school debate competition, which aims to promote critical thinking, confidence, creativity, and effective communication among students.
The debate segment will provide young participants with the opportunity to express their opinions on important issues while sharpening their public speaking and intellectual skills.
FUNWORLD has, over the years, become one of the National Theatre’s most engaging family-oriented programmes, offering children and young people the opportunity to build confidence, teamwork, discipline, and artistic excellence in a fun and educational environment.
The programme also serves as a valuable avenue for schools to expose students to the performing arts while fostering healthy interaction and talent development.
The event promises an atmosphere filled with excitement, creativity, education, music, culture, and family entertainment for patrons of all ages. Admission to the programme is Twenty Ghana Cedis (GHS 20.00).
Parents, guardians, schools, students, and the general public are warmly invited to attend and support this memorable celebration of creativity, innovation, talent, and family unity at the National Theatre of Ghana.
