Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana(LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has stated that it is a criminal offence for citizens to pay for ambulance services in the country and must be seized immediately.
”Any sick person who needs to access the ambulance service and is asked to buy fuel is a criminal offence and must stop”, Akpaloo stated.
In an exclusive interview on the Hot Morning Drive on the Accra-based radio station with Agya Wusu, the politician stated that if the government is not ready to fuel ambulances then it should regard its services as void.
According to the Kofi Akpaloo, a pregnant woman in the Western Region lost an unborn child after she couldn’t afford to fuel an ambulance that was supposed to take her to labour together with her husband.
“I do not know if you have had this report from Western Region, there was this woman who was in labour… the woman was struggling… but the ambulance operators stated that there was no fuel….. The husband had only 150 GH Cedi and we lost this woman and her baby”…… the leader of LPG stated on the Hot Morning Drive.
Answering questions on finances, Kofi Akpalo stated that the government needed to create revenue. He also disclosed that Ghanaians are wicked to themselves.
Meanwhile, the founder and leader of LPG assured Ghanaians that when he legally attains his Presidential ambition come 2024, all this nonsense will stop.
