The lawyer representing popular Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lil Win, has maintained her client’s innocence in the tragic accident that resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy.
The case is currently pending advice from the Attorney General’s office.
Lawyer Margaret Mary Adjei Twum expressed hope that Lil Win will not face prosecution as the court awaits further instructions.
She emphasized that Lil Win was not at fault during the incident. The actor was arrested on June 3, 2024, following the accident but was subsequently granted bail by the Asokore Mampong district court.
During court proceedings on July 29, 2024, it was noted that the docket remains with the Attorney General’s office.
Speaking after the session, Lawyer Twum highlighted the negative impact the incident and resulting publicity have had on Lil Win.
The legal team continues to await the Attorney General’s decision, hopeful that it will affirm Lil Win’s innocence.
