A new poll by Global InfoAnalytics shows a tightening race among potential contenders for the flagbearer slot of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2028 elections.
The poll, shared by the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, on Monday, April 13, 2026, indicates that National Chairman Asiedu Nketia continues to lead in a “top-of-the-mind” baseline survey of the party’s potential flagbearer race.
However, his lead has narrowed significantly within a week—from 16 percentage points in Week 1 to 10 percentage points in Week 2—suggesting intensifying competition.
In the latest poll (Week 2), Asiedu Nketia secured 29 per cent support, followed by Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson with 19 per cent, and Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu with 11 per cent.
Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang recorded 8 percent each.
A notable 24% of respondents remained undecided, indicating potential volatility in the race.
In Week 1, Asiedu Nketia led with 28 per cent, followed by a significantly higher undecided bloc at 36 per cent, while other contenders trailed.
