The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released arrears for April, following a strike declaration by personnel of the scheme.
The Concerned National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel Association of Ghana (CONSPAG) had announced a nationwide strike on July 3, 2024, due to unpaid allowances, which severely impacted their livelihoods.
In a swift response, the National Executive Council of the National Service Personnel Association issued a statement on Wednesday, July 3, announcing that the Secretariat had released payment for April, which is expected to reflect in personnel accounts on July 5, 2024.
The statement also noted that May allowances are expected to be paid shortly after the April funds are reflected.
Personnel have been urged to remain calm as outstanding issues are being resolved.
