The Central East Regional MTTD Commander, Superintendent Hannah Adjei, has stated that robbery is no longer the biggest challenge in Kasoa.
For years, the name Kasoa was often whispered with a hint of caution. Known as one of Ghana’s fastest-growing urban hubs, it rapidly expanded and earned a notorious reputation for daylight robberies and violent crime.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Hot 93.9FM’s ‘Hot Morning Ride‘ show hosted by Oman Nana, Superintendent Hannah Adjei emphatically stated that this narrative is officially outdated.
She noted that over the past two to three months, there has been zero robbery activity in the area.
“When was the last time you heard about a robbery case in Kasoa? Robbery is no longer the biggest challenge in Kasoa,” Supt. Adjei remarked.
Superintendent Hannah Adjei credited the reduction in robbery cases to the dedicated police personnel within the region.
“The crackdown on violent crime didn’t happen by accident. Through a combination of increased police visibility, intelligence-led operations, and the creation of the Central East Regional Police Command, the brazen robberies that once dominated the headlines have been successfully suppressed.”
