A commonly asked question amongst the football community is what makes a great soccer player? What did Pele have? What did Maradona have? How can I become like Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi?

There is no magic formula but there are key qualities that every top soccer player must possess. One of these key qualities a player needs to be like the aforementioned super stars is being fit.

If a player is fit , they are able to play, they are healthy in good condition, and they have no injuries. This means they can play in the game . Of course, Being fit is very important for the team, especially if you are one of the star players .

In this regard, Popular Ghanaian Physical trainer, Francis Totti Laryea has revealed what every footballer must do in order to stay fit.

Speaking in an exclusive interview Hotfmghana.com monitored, Totti Laryea said a Player needs to eat well and have enough rest after training for them to perform well when playing.

” In Africa, what i have observed is, most footballers eat banku, Gari after training which is not healthy…To stay fit depends on what you eat. For the food, it’s possible to drink fruit drinks, eat bananas, fruit juice, vegetables…Watermelon”.Totti Laryea said as monitored by Hotfmghana.com

” If you work hard and you don’t have enough rest you are just wasting your time… you must rest to help you stay very fit”.He added

Totti Laryea is a 26-year-old physical trainer who became a professional physical trainer in 2015. He is the owner of Train Like a Pro Gh stamina centre located at Nungua in Accra.
