Kumasi Asante Kotoko have denied ubiquitous reports that they have signed legendary footballer Sulley Muntari
Reports were rife that the UEFA Champions League winner who played for Hearts of Oak in the 2021/22 season had signed a two-year deal with Kotoko.
But in a post sighted by Hotfmghana.com, the communications manager of the Kumasi-based Club, David Obeng denied the ubiquitous reports by stating that,” It’s not true pls”.
Meanwhile, in a bid to stop the legendary midfielder from crossing carpets to Kotoko, the Executive Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has reportedly scheduled a meeting with the player.
According to checks, Togbe Afede has communicated his intentions to Sulley Muntari as he hopes to get the 37-year-old to commit his future to the club.
Muntari signed a one-year deal for Hearts of Oak and was impressed greatly by the Phobians ago won the MTN FA Cup.
