Kumawood actor cum comedian Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, popularly known as Ras Nene or Dr. Likee, has been involved in an antagonistic clash with security personnel at the Achimota Mall located in Accra, together with his crew.
In a viral video sighted by hotfmghana, Dr. Likee, who was at the mall to work on a skit, was instructed by the security officers to cease production.
According to the officers, the government has cautiously instructed not to authorize any form of media production at the venue.
Reacting to the restriction, Dr. Likee and his crew furiously disagreed with the claim whiles stating that US Nationals are even allowed to make videos without restrictions.
Also, the actor, also a brand influencer, wondered why foreigners were allowed to shoot videos anywhere in Ghana, but Ghanaians are not accorded treatment.
”Someone comes from the US to go Parliament to smoke ‘wee’, one of Dr. Likee’s crew commented.
If it were to be a foreigner that came here, you will be removing your sandals and treating him special, Ghanaians do not respect celebrities” another crew member added.
It will be recalled in January 2023, an American rapper Meek Mill came to Ghana to headline an event, Afro Nation, aggravated Ghanaians amidst economic hardship by making an alleged music video in the President’s abode, Jubilee House.
The aggravation of anger followed after the musician was sighted using the seat of the president in the said video and explicit lyrics.
Meanwhile, the yet-to-be-produced skit featured then-American-based assistant nurse Andrea Owusu, popularly known as Efia Odo and legendary musician Emmanuel Andrews Samini preferred to be called Samini.
