The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, popularly known as Small Gaddafi, has announced her plan to donate cars to her constituency in preparation for the December elections.
The unveiling of these cars is scheduled for July 20, 2024, as part of her strategy to support NDC Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and secure victory.
This initiative aligns with Gyan’s broader goals of improving local infrastructure and creating job opportunities.
In an interview with Agya Wusu on Hot 93.9 FM, she emphasized the need to address unemployment, stating, “Unemployment remains a significant challenge, and Mahama’s 24-hour economy is a game-changer for our nation.”
As chair of the interim presidential campaign task force for the Amenfi Central Constituency, Gyan also highlighted the potential of agriculture in job creation, noting that foreign investors, such as Hungary’s AgroFeed, are ready to train farmers in her constituency.
“When agriculture is given the needed attention, it can provide vast job creation avenues,” she remarked.
Additionally, Gyan plans to boost the local economy by enhancing financial literacy among women and improving the constituency’s road network.
She stated, “A well-designed road network is critical for the efficient movement of people, goods, and services, especially in a gold-rich area like Amenfi Central.”
Gyan praised Mahama for his recent engagement with journalists and urged her constituents to support his presidential bid.
“Let’s support Mahama to bring about the needed change,” she encouraged, reaffirming her commitment to using her four-year salary for the constituency’s development.
Dr. Joana Gyan-Cudjoe recently won Forbes’ Best Female Miner 2021 and two FIN awards, recognizing her significant achievements in the mining and business sectors.
