After three decades of land litigation and chieftaincy disputes, the Denchira community has finally achieved peace with the enstoolment of Nii Mo Amankwa Addo as the family head of the Juaben family in the Ga South municipality of Greater Accra.
This milestone is expected to pave the way for development in the area.
The prolonged conflicts had hindered progress within the community, prompting traditional leaders to appeal to the government for essential social infrastructure, including potable water, a hospital, toilet facilities, and a secondary school.
Nii Mo Amankwa Addo made these requests following his introduction to chiefs and kingmakers at various palaces, where he performed customary rites to authenticate his position.
In an interview with BKB, Nii Mo Amankwa Addo expressed his commitment to restoring peace and fostering development in Denchira. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the community and the government to address the pressing needs of the residents.
The community’s residents shared their joy over the restoration of peace, expressing hope that the government will respond to their appeals for support and development initiatives.
With a new leader at the helm, the Denchira community looks forward to a brighter future and improved living conditions.
