Gospel legend Piesie Esther has stated candidly that her biggest aspiration is to win the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
After 20 years in the industry, Piesie Esther won her first award, Gospel Song of the Year, at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The celebrated gospel artist received seven nominations across several categories, including Artiste of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Best Music Video of the Year, Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year.
She was a strong contender in the Artiste of the Year category, competing against renowned artists such as Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, KiDi, and Joe Mettle.
Piesie Esther is currently promoting her latest single, “Nyame Ye,” which is already being celebrated as one of the biggest hits of 2025.
In an exclusive interview on Hot 93.9 FM, Piesie Esther expressed her heartfelt desire to win the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award at the 2026 TGMA.
“I have won Gospel Artiste of the Year before, but I am yet to win the overall Artiste of the Year.” She stated
The ‘Nyame Ye’ star emphasised that winning the Artiste of the Year award in 2026 is her greatest wish.
