One of Africa’s most popular comedians, Derrick Kobina Bonney—better known as DKB has made an astonishing revelation that he used to enjoy beating people with disabilities.
According to DKB, people with disabilities are “evil.” The comedian made this statement while performing at his headline event dubbed ’New Year Comedy Night’ at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
“The disabled are very wicked… We used to beat them when I was at Korle Gonno,” he claimed.
DKB’s controversial remarks didn’t solely define the evening; it featured a robust lineup of Ghana’s comedic elite, including Lekzy DeComic, OB Amponsah, and Jeneral Ntatia, all of whom delivered high-energy performances that kept the crowd entertained throughout the night
The event was graced by media personalities, music stars, and politicians, including Fiifi Kwetey, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as well as Geovani Caleb and Philipa Baafi.
