Deceased Family Of Abesim Killings Demands Transport To Convey Them To Court

The family of the deceased whose body was found in a fridge at Abesim have expressed bitterness of how the Kaneshie district court is delaying the case.

In an interview with Hot FM’s ” Ayehu” host, Nana Ampofo, the Abusua Payin to the victim, Abosohene of Duayaw Nkwanta, Nana Katrika ll explained that ever since the case was referred to the Kaneshie district court ,they have been at the court twice but the case has not come up.

According to Nana Katrika, the Magistrate has absented herself twice in court with the reason of being on sick leave .He stated extensively that the family has no money to commute from Sunyani each time to come to the court in Accra.

He then appealed to the authorities to provide them transport to convey the family from Sunyani to the court in Accra.

Richard Appiah is alleged to have murdered two boys and also kept some of their body parts in a fridge in his house.

Even though the charges and the facts were read to him in open court on August 26, when he first appeared, his plea was not taken. The case has so far been adjourned to November 17, 2021.
