The hashtag #ShattaIsaGrammyLegend has been trending on Twitter over claims that Shatta Wale has been honoured by The Recording Academy (Grammys) with the ‘Salute to Industry Icons Award’.
The ‘Salute to Industry Icons Award’ honours those who have made significant contributions to the music industry and philanthropic endeavours.
A screenshot of the list of recipients of the award is making rounds on Twitter.
Recipients of the award include Jay-Z, and some big names in the history of the American music industry. Shatta Wale is also listed as a recipient of the award.
