Residents of Maamobi have poured out onto the principal streets of Accra to protest the government’s plan to evict them from their current location in three weeks.
According to reports, the government has given the Maamobi residents a 21-day notice to evacuate or be forced out.
The residents are, however, unhappy about the government’s timeline.
Clad in red and black garments amid wielding placards, the protesters marched on some major roads of the Greater Accra Region to drum home their displeasure.
