Reagan Mends Resigns From Hot FM After 7-Years

After working with Accra-based radio station HOT 93.9 FM for seven years, renowned entertainment journalist, Reagan Mends, has finally resigned from the media company.

Reagan who has worked with HOTFM since October 2015 tendered his resignation on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Until his resignation, the controversial entertainment journalist was the editor of the station’s website, Hotfmghana.com and the executive producer of ”Hot and Classic showbiz review”- an award-winning entertainment show which was hosted by ace broadcaster Dr WHO.

Confirming the news of his resignation via his Facebook page, Reagan emphasised that in the best interest of his career, he feels that the time is right to move on.

He took time to thank the management of the Accra-based Media Company for giving him the opportunity to exhibit his journalistic prowess to the world through their platform (Hotfmghana and HOTFM)

Even though he refused to disclose his next destination, he assured his fans it would be out soon.

”End Of An Era! My 7-year journey at FP COmmunications has finally come to an end. I have enjoyed my time working at such a venerated Media House but in the best interest of my career, I feel that the time is right to move on.

”In line with this, I would like to thank the management for all the opportunities you presented to me within the period of my employment to exhibit my journalistic prowess to the world through your platforms (HOT 93.9 FM and Hotfmghana.com). I am extremely glad for your prodigious support” Reagan stated.

Apart from being a renowned entertainment, Reagan is also regarded as one of the best brains when it comes to artist management. He managed the late dancehall/ hiplife artist Terry Bonchaka at a very tender age, and also artists like King Ayisoba, Sherifa Gunu and Okuraseni Samuel.

In 2007, Reagan became the first and youngest Ghanaian artist manager to manage a traditional artist (King Ayisoba) to win the overall top award at the Ghana Music Awards.
In 2012, he worked with Sherifa Guni on her hit song titled Mbrantie’ which made an impact on the world music scene.

He has also helped countless celebrated artists including Joe Mettle, Captain Planet, Guru, Kwabena Kwabena and many others to build huge fan bases during his time as the editor of the popular entertainment and lifestyle website, RazzOnline.com.

In 2017, His write-ups for Joe Mettle helped the Bonooni hitmaker to make history as the first Gospel Musician to win the coveted ‘Artiste of the Year\ award at the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
